The S.A.L.T. Teen Festival is a vision of Deborah Hayes (Board Volunteer), who was troubled by the rise in suicide rates among Black teens nationwide. It was enough for her to encourage SET for LIFE Board to act. Our Teen Ambassadors then provided direction for all facets of the event. Teens create the SALT Teen festival for teens 13-17. It is a safe space for teens to gather and express themselves while learning to be Strong. Authentic. Legendary. True. The festival was so successful that we will partner with cities and counties that wish to encourage their teens to be S.A.L.T.
